I'm 45 next month, can't remember how many relegations I have seen and defeat grabbed from the jaws of victory. Sadly this feels like a combo of the Grant season where we had about 33 points with 8 games left and then fucked off and the Roeder season, ALSO who finished 7th in his first season. Obviously both ended in relegation which was down to unbelievably poor leadership in both cases.
This seasons feels VERY like that. Slav was quiet as a mouse at the Hull game, no passion, I think he's lost it and unless the players can manage a win and a couple of draws between themselves then we could find ourselves the best candidate for the final spot between us, Hull and Swansea. We've already fucked up the Hull game.
If Bilic does this to us he will rightly go down in our history with Roeder and Grant, fucking imbeciles who should have been binned well before they were

Should see us survive by the skin of our teeth, which is embarrassing ... the sooner this season is over the better tbh
Arsenal a : lose
Swansea h : win
Sunderland a : draw
Everton h : lose
Stoke a : lose
Tottenham h : lose
Liverpool h : lose
Burnley a : draw
Be interesting to see what the board does in the summer, can't see Bilic surviving if that's the results...
Just hope Sullivan keeps himself out of the media (no chance) and the board actually put their hands in their pockets over the summer.

But, I wish I had your confidence, mate. For some reason I am very jittery at the moment and have just got a bad feeling in my bones. And tiny little anxious spot in the pit of my stomach.
I can't help it. After the last two games I fear for us this time round. We look beaten.
I second that, but also agree with TeVaz below.....nick a point and the crowd will get behind them saturday....get stuffed and the nerves around the stadium will transfer onto the pitch. We look like a team with no bollocks at the moment with a coaching staff that have run out of ideas
Wouldnt be surprised if its us or Burnley final day to stay up

I really think the Arsenal game is massive . Get a point or 3 and it will lift the gloom , even a decent performance. Get an almighty stuffing and it could be curtains !

is exactly what I can see happening. But they looked yesterday like they've had their little bounce and have returned to their realistic level. They're a very poor side, and if we can't get 4 points out of them and Sunderland, then I'll have no complaints about us going down.
I reckon we still have just about enough players playing well - Lanzini and Carroll - to scrape over the line.

You're right about Swansea. I like Clement. But he is very compromised but what he has at his disposal there.
But it's just one of those games that we are likely to have a couple of 'those' moments from set plays and suddenly 2-0 down. Just from nothing.
But mate, I hope you are right, I really do. Don't mind me I am a bit negative about it all at the moment. Just struggling to see us go out and keep a clean sheet which always leaves us chasing.

I think we've got a lot of extremely poor players, and appeared rudderless when our backs were to the wall at the weekend.
However, I saw nothing from Swansea yesterday that concerns me, and even if Llorente gets fit, he's the sort of striker that Fonte & Collins should handle as he isn't particularly quick. The only concern is a Sigurdsson set piece. Win on Saturday, then off to a doomed Sunderland and that should be enough.
With Noble & Antonio back, and as many as possible out of Feghouli, Ayew and Snodgrass not on the pitch, we'll look much better.

You know what, mate. I am normally pretty relaxed about football because I have always been quite a pragmatic person and as I have got older even more so.

You can guarantee that the managers of those clubs have already targeted us as three anyway.
Managers in relegation battles do take each game at a time. But you just know that Paul Clement will already be speaking to his players about our fixture as their cup final. They have already forecast to beat us, don't worry about that.
I do, however, fear that Bilic and our players do not have the confidence to do this.

The only thing I think that may save us is that I don't believe 40 points will be required this season. I think 38 will do.
BUT, I genuinely believe we will struggle and I am leaning more towards us going down now than staying up. Simply because I see Hull will be buoyed and could go on a little run and I just don't see where we get another point from. I really don't.
Swansea? If the last two games are anything to go by they will stuff us.
I am normally positive but I am struggling to see us staying up after Saturday.

You have watched us recently, haven't you?!?! I find it hard to see where the next point is coming from given how ATROCIOUS our defence is right now.
We made Hull, the second worst team in the league, look like world beaters. Twice.
